Yoni Power
We’ve come to the end of this transformative retreat. Ten amazing goddess with an extra two we added when we arrived, a total of twelve. Our final day was powerful, a cacao ceremony that honored our shadows and all the women we’ve ever been. Followed by an ocean ceremony where we released what we are done with. Some went in far, some stayed close to the shore but either way, we allowed the sacred blue to cleanse us and hold all our stories.
We laughed, we danced, we held each other, together we are women remembering the art and power of dancing and communing in circle with each other. We are remembering the sweetness of the heart and the ritual of gathering. This retreat was medicine, this community of women who came together for a week, leaving their ordinary reality to heed the call to come and be nourished, to come and be held, to come and be supported, but more importantly to come and remember the need, the power of what true sisterhood feels like is also medicine. This was goddess power on display this week and we were in the right place to activate it, the jungle.
I titled this retreat wild woman rising because the wild is being remembered in women across the world. As a wisdom wayshower of the divine feminine my role is to assist women in this awakening. It is a vulnerable space for me, to open my own energy field for a week but it was worth it to see the transformation, the smiles, the coming out of boxes, the remembering of one’s light, the activation of one’s inner power.
The sacred Mother was with us throughout, whenever we were in the midst of deep work, she showed up as a black hawk perched on a tree listening, offering us her gift. Being here at Blue Osa is always a transformational experience for me. This is my third time here and I’m always inspired. It is the land and the magick of what is held in nature. Being here in the jungle and with these women have taught me a lot this week.
One, nature is patient, it does nothing with a rush. It’s sexy and tantalizing dance takes time, slowly, slowly unveiling itself, one part at a time. My journey with the sunrise this week helped me to appreciate on a deeper level, the dance between the dark and light as I sat in the wee hours of the morning waiting, watching, in awe of how the dark permeates everything until the light comes and I watch the dark slowly recede. It takes a little more than an hour for the sun to fully make its debut, from four-thirty to a little after five-thirty. It teases the eyes, teaching patience. Ninety minutes may not seem like a lot of time but when you’re sitting and observing this natural spectacle, it seems like an eternity. I feel grounded in this eternity of sitting in silence with only the sound of the ocean and the occasional sound of a howler monkey starting to stir high in the trees.
Beyond the silence there is a feasting of color in the sky. Each moment is revealing a different hue, from indigos, to blues, to a splash of pale yellow, to oranges, then gold. I’d like to think that we are also unveiling ourselves this slowly, a colorful tapestry of lived experiences transforming our lives. We too are unveiling aspects of the self that has come and gone until all that is left is the self we are in this moment. We are the rising sun, we are the light that illuminates the dark, we are also the dark that gives cover so rest, rejuvenation, and integration can happen.
Second, I also learned from these women that every woman carries her own light in unique ways and that honoring that not as good or bad but different. We are all shades, shapes, and varied stories and we bring all of the differences that we are into that cauldron of life and we drink and serve.
What we did this week individually and together was create a spark. A spark of light we planted in our wombs, our yoni’s, our hearts, and our bodies. A spark that we will carry as friends old and new, goddesses, and carriers of the divine feminine. May our next chapter be filled with courage to be bold, serenity to welcome peace, and love to water the seeds of light we carry within our wombs. To all the goddess, thank you for trusting me.
Aho!!!
